Honeybee Swarms Has a large dark cluster of buzzing insects suddenly appeared hanging from a tree branch in your yard? They are swarming honeybees. Want to know what to do with them? Please, whatever you do, don't kill them! If you live on the Peninsula, in San Francisco, or in northern Santa Clara County, call one of the beekeepers on the swarm list below and we will come out and retrieve the swarm. These members are not professionals in pest control. They are experienced with honey bees and can remove them alive unless the bees are too high, in a wall, etc. Our beekeepers take care of honeybees only. We never get involved with wasps, hornets, and/or yellow jackets nor carpenter bees or bumblebees. Swarm Removal (Please ask if the beekeeper will charge you. Many of our beekeepers will remove swarms for free.)
Or send an email toSwarm List email You must include the words swarm or bees in the subject line. Bee Removal
If bees
have moved into a wall or other part of your house, their removal is more
difficult than removing a swarm. The following people have asked to have their
names posted on our site. They may or may not be licensed contractors.
The Guild provides these names as a service, not as a recommendation.
(There will be a charge, ask about pricing.)
