The Beekeepers Guild of San Mateo County was founded in 1979.
Our members range from novice beekeepers to master beekeepers with many years of experience and education. A few of our hive enthusiasts have over 50 hives. Our members range from less than 15 years old to more than 70 years old.
We are known to have master beekeepers that are very generous with their time and knowledge. Our monthly meetings have speakers who are members in and outside of our guild who offer their skills and love of beekeeping.
We offer a free beginner beekeeping class in the spring.
Guild Meetings
Meetings are held at 7:30p.m. the first Thursday of the month at the Congregational Church of Belmont, 751 Alameda de las Pulgas - Belmont, California, 1/2 mile north of Ralston Avenue. The entrance and parking is at the back of the building. The public is always welcome to attend.
